Who runs Pulse

Pulse is an independent project built and run by an individual developer ("we", "us", "our"). It isn't affiliated with Google, GitHub, Telegram, or any sign-in provider whose buttons you may see.

Who can use Pulse

You need to be at least 16 years old to use Pulse.

You sign in with Google, GitHub, a one-time email link, or Telegram. You're responsible for keeping that sign-in method secure: anyone who can sign in as you can see and change your habits.

Your account

An account is meant for one person. Please don't share your sign-in with others or try to access someone else's account.

You can sign out or delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your account is permanent.

Your habits are yours

Everything you create in Pulse — your habits, check-ins, notes, and streaks — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your content.

You give us permission to store and process that content only to run the service for you: to save it, sync it across your devices, show your history, and back it up. Nothing more.

Using Pulse responsibly

Please use Pulse only for lawful, personal habit-tracking. Don't try to break, overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, don't attempt to reach data that isn't yours, and don't use share links to harass anyone or to publish content you don't have the right to share.

We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or put other people, or the service itself, at risk.

Price

Pulse is completely free to use right now.

We may add optional paid features in the future. If we ever do, we'll show the price and terms clearly before you pay anything — you'll never be charged by surprise, and we won't quietly take away the core of what you rely on today without notice.

The service is provided as it is

We work hard to make Pulse reliable and to keep your data safe, and its offline-first design keeps your check-ins on your device even when the network doesn't cooperate. Even so, Pulse is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.

We may change, pause, or discontinue features, and there may be occasional downtime, bugs, or maintenance. Pulse is a personal-motivation tool — it is not medical, psychological, or professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of Pulse, nor for loss of data beyond what the law requires us to cover.

Some laws don't allow certain limitations. Where that's the case, those limits simply don't apply to you, and nothing here removes consumer rights that can't be waived.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Pulse and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or where we must for legal or security reasons.

If Pulse is ever discontinued, we'll aim to give reasonable notice and a chance to export your data first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Pulse evolves. When a change is significant, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know — for example in the app or by email.

If you keep using Pulse after an update takes effect, that means you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws that apply where you live, and nothing in them takes away the mandatory consumer protections you're entitled to there.
